RSPH Level 1 Award in Health Awareness

This course will help you:

  • Understand the significance of health inequalities and their impact on workplace/community well-being
  • Analyse the influence of individual behaviour change on personal well-being and work-life balance to develop better working practices
  • Promote awareness of key health messages, including alcohol, menopause, exercise, and mental well-being
  • Enhance health literacy among delegates and their work communities by delivering informative and engaging campaigns
  • Establish a network of Workplace Ambassadors to amplify public health messages and drive behaviour change
  • Increase work productivity and attendance by promoting a healthier workplace culture
  • Provide a supportive environment and serve as a primary point of contact for directing individuals to relevant support services and organisations
  • Identify opportunities for improving health and well-being within the workplace to align with company policies and enhance overall organisational performance

RSPH Level 1 Award in Health Awareness

Course content will include:

  • What is health – definitions, barriers to being healthy, promote latest health and wellbeing messages i.e healthy eating, exercise, sleep
  • What are health inequalities – how can the WHA’s help to reduce these
  • Long Term Health Conditions – explore the top 5 LTC’s, promote the NHS Health Check, screening programmes i.e health screening programmes and where to access these
  • Triage service options i.e. GP, Pharmacist, 111, A & E understand appropriate signposting
