Gain the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) – Understanding Health Improvement Level 1 qualification
The School Staff Wellbeing Officer (SWO) training is a half day online course which explores the importance of health and wellbeing, the latest public health messages, and how these can positively impact on colleagues wellbeing, work productivity and enjoyment.
The role of the School Wellbeing Officer will involve cascading these messages to colleagues via interventions, support services, resource library and other platforms.
The course is accredited; all attendees gain a Royal Society for Public Health Understanding Health Improvement Level 1 qualification which will contribute to their CPD and includes access to an online portal where Health Talks will share the latest public health messages and resources to support the role.
Examples of current interventions designed by our SWO’s:
Menopause Awareness – staff designed lavender bags with a positive affirmation tag including details of wellbeing support
Book Club – to improve mental health & wellbeing
Slow Cooker Crew – to promote healthy eating
Walk & Talk – After school event to promote positive emotional and physical health via a walking group
